HOOVER (June 1, 2018) – The National High School Summer Showcase prep baseball tournament will take place in Hoover and surrounding communities June 6-8, 2019.
The state’s largest offseason prep baseball event is hosted by the Hoover Baseball Club and will feature over 60 teams. Games will be played at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, the new turf fields at Hoover MetroPlex, Hoover High School, Spain Park High School, and Shades Mountain Community Park.
“Hoover has earned a reputation for being a great place to attend a sporting event and that definitely includes baseball,” said Rookie Gage, the tournament’s organizer. “This is an opportunity for our community to host some of the top high school players in the southeastern U.S. and for the athletes who are playing to gain experience and show off their talents for their future high school coaches, teammates and college scouts.
“Just like the SEC tournament, we will be all-baseball, all-day so we think this is an excellent opportunity for youth coaches and teams and the general public to come out and enjoy what will really be a lot of the top school teams and players in the state on their level.”
A daily pass is $10 and admission for the entire weekend is $25, and children 12 and younger are admitted free. Student and senior discounts are available.
