Rookie Gage

President, Head of Player Development

Rookie Gage is in his 11th year as serving as Baseball Director at HBC. Rookie brings years of experience to HBC serving as assistant coach at UCF from 1996-2000. In 2002, he was instrumental in creating the hugely successful Cahaba Mudcats organization in Pelham, AL. He has worked with players who have continued their baseball careers at the next level including Miss State, Jacksonville State, UAB, Auburn and the University of Alabama.

During his tenure at HBC, Gage has led the program to 2009 National High School Summer Tournament Championship in Lexington Kentucky, 2010 Disney Championship in Orlando Florida and in 2011 he led HBC 12u to a Sweet 16 finish at Cooperstown Field of Dreams in New York. His full time job is having the honor of working with a special group of young adults as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
